What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK government initiative designed to encourage charitable giving. If you pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax, you can take part in the scheme.

How does Gift Aid work?

Gift Aid doesn’t cost you or us anything—it simply allows us to claim an extra 25p from the government for every £1 you donate.

For example:

Your donation: £100

With Gift Aid: £125 (an extra £25 at no additional cost to you)

Who is eligible for Gift Aid?

You can apply Gift Aid to your donations if:

• You’re a UK taxpayer.
• The money or items you donate are yours.
• You pay enough Income or Capital Gains Tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed (otherwise, you may need to pay the difference).
